Hydroponics and cold chain

How it's grown, and how it gets to you.

Dounan, Yunlin · Greenhouse hydroponics

Grown hydroponically in greenhouses in Dounan Township, Yunlin County, not in open-field soil. By our estimate, the recirculating system uses only about 6% of the water and nutrients of conventional open-field growing.

Storage and cooking

Lettuce hates heat. Here's how to store it so it stays crisp.

Storing it after delivery

  • Refrigerate it as soon as it arrives.
  • Eat it soon; the sooner, the crunchier.
  • Wash just before eating: rinse under clean running water and drain.
